EmpowHer Pathways

Reducing Recidivism in Young Women

EmpowHer Pathways is a specialized project of Cornerstone Community Youth Organization, dedicated to girls and young women (ages 15–24) navigating the journey from incarceration or at-risk situations to full independence. We believe that a past mistake does not define one's future. Our project provides a safe, supportive environment where young women in Louisiana can reclaim their narrative through a holistic approach to stability and success.

We offer a community of support tailored to the unique challenges women face during reentry:

  • Financial Literacy Teaching the financial basics: budgeting, credit building, and money management.
  • Employment & Job Training Complete job readiness, including resume building, interview preparation, and workforce support.
  • High School, GED,  & College Support Direct educational support for those pursuing a GED, college degree, or trade certification.
  • Life Skills Coaching Focusing on emotional wellness to build resilience and confidence.
  • Relationship & Social Skills Developing the personal development and communication skills needed for long-term success.
  • Reentry & Community Navigation Providing specialized support for those transitioning back into the community and navigating local resources.

                            Our Goal

To reduce recidivism and strengthen Louisiana by equipping young women with the confidence, skills, and character to become leaders in their families and our community.

✨ A Second Chance Begins Here! You are more than your past, and we are here to help you shape your future.
